Complex of brick, partially three- or four-storeyed buildings on the 15, Volodymyrska str. A line of historical development of the Vododymirska, Velyka Zhytomyrska street and Sofia Square. There are services of law and order and court here for about half a century. In pre-revolutionary years it was the citadel of provincial bureaucracy, where the provincial institutions concentrated ("prysutstviya"). A long-lived corps were constructed in the style of late classicism for them, in 1854-57, (Source: Street City Kyiv).

- Prysutstveni places are called the Kyiv Pentagon, because the building has the shape of pentagon.
- In 1934, here the Soviet government planned to lay the largest government space in the world. For this purpose, St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, the Church of the Three Saints,"Prysutstveni"could be dismantled and the monument to Bogdan Khmelnytsky was "relocated" to another place. Fortunately, plans were only partially implemented.
