Kyiv Facebook community have mobilized to offer free accommodation to Liverpool and Real Madrid fans.
Kyiv is going to host the Champions League final on 26 May - the biggest single sporting event in the Ukraine after the UEFA EURO 2012.

Kyiv last hosted the contest of this level in 2012, when Spain took the championship over Europe.
What do you know about the city? Here are some quick facts about Kyiv.
- In the XI century Kyiv was the largest city in Europe: 50 times bigger than London and 10 times bigger than Paris.
- Golden Gates metro station is one of the 15 most beautiful metro stations in Europe.
- Arsenalna metro station, with it's depth of about 105.5, is considered to be the deepest in the world.

- The oldest street in Kyiv is Volodymyrska, it is more than 1000 years old.
The capital of Ukraine has already confirmed its status of an exciting travel destination and a place to host global scale events. Last May Kyiv was the host city for the Eurovision-2017 song contest, and this year the UEFA Champions League Final will take place in the capital. Both Kyiv residents and its guests will have an opportunity to witness the world football history being made and to find themselves in the thick of the events!
UCL Finals preparations
Preparations for UCL finals have been under way for more than eight months and Kyiv have things to show.
Hotel rooms in Kyiv are all booked up and a Kyiv city state administration is working hard to offer affordable accommodation to visitors.
Accommodation could be a problem as Kyiv has 16,000 hotel rooms compared with, for example, 135,000 in Berlin which has hosted the final few years ago.
But Ukrainian hospitality will change your mind. Ukrainians are ready to host fans for free. There are more than 100 variants right now. UEFA Champions Village
The Champions Village on Khreshchatyk street will be the biggest official fan zone, hosting more than 10,000 guests.
Since May 24, the traditional location for the finals from UEFA will function on Khreshchatyk, from Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street to Gorodetsky Street. It will consist of a large stage where visitors can see the performances of various artists, take part in different competitions organized by UEFA sponsors.
Vladimir and Vitaly Klitschko will take part in the “Star Games championship” on a specially designed football ground - another point of the Festival. On May 24, it will host semi-final battles, and the next day at 16:00 the final meeting will take place. For comparison, last year in Cardiff the fans saw the action of Cafu, Ryan Giggs, Ian Rush, David Trezeguet, Deco, Roberto Carlos, Clarence Seedorf and many other legends. In addition, children's teams, as well as athletes with disabilities, will face each other on the site. Can football players or tourists play football? We don’t know the answer right now.
